Glass Etching

I love to etch glass! It's super simple too if you have a vinyl cutter. Simply cut your vinyl and apply to glass, coat in the etching cream (craft store), wait 5 minutes and wash off. Permanent and everyone will wonder how in the world you did it. Below are a few customized Christmas gifts I did, which were a hit! Make sure to cover any part of the glass you don't want etched, the cream is so strong that it'll actually bleed over.

  1. These are beautiful. What brand of vinyl cutter do you use? I've never even heard of one.

  2. These are beautiful. I've etched before, but all of my designs were hand-cut with an Xacto knife. What brand of vinyl cutter do you use? I've never even heard of one. I need to look into this.

    1. I use the silhouette SD (9" wide cut), it has been replaced by the Silhouette Cameo (12" wide cut). Highly recommend the silhouette but Cricut also has a cutter that seems to be more readily available at local stores.
